The "Festes de la Terra" will start this Sunday at 9 p.m., with the
reading of the proclamation by the collaborator with “La Vanguardia”
and “Crónicas marcianas” Josep Sandoval in the Parc Reina
Sofia. This will be followed by a concert by the Catalan singer Sergio
Dalma presenting his new record "Nueva Vida."
On Monday in the port of Ibiza, there will be the tribute to Ibizan
bucaneers and sailors, followed by a music and dance show in the Parc Reina
Sofia. On Tuesday, the children will enjoy a party organised by Chispa's,
made up of a group of 7 youngsters between 13 and 14.
On Wednesday, the festivity of Sant Ciriac, Eivissa Day, in the
Puig des Molins there will be the typical picnic and one of the most traditional
events of the "Festes de la Terra", when families gather by the sea with
sandwiches and refreshments. The anniversary of the Catalan conquest of
the Pitiüses ends with a splendid firework show at midnight.
On Thursday the ceremonies continue with a concert by the Fundación
Tony Manero, and on August 11 a night of cabaret and music hall with Atrium
Show International.
The fiestas will link up to the second edition of the "Festival d'Òpera
d'Eivissa" and a performance on 19 and 20 by the Ballet Nacional de Kiev.
