Elektrozine: cinema festival in Eivissa

The councillor for Culture of the Council from Eivissa and Formentera, Fany Tur, and the responsible for the Asociación Cinematográfica Pithyusa (ACP), Fernando Monge, have presented this morning the third Elektrozine, an International Independent documentary & short film Festival that takes place annually in Eivissa.

Elektrozine takes a stand for what we could call "electronic cinema": a medium which combines photographic & electronically generated images with the flexibility and low production costs allowed by digital video postproduction procedures, key to the development of a true independent cinema.

During the five days of the Festival (October 23 to 27, 2001), short films and documentaries will be shown in different formats: video (analogic & digital) and film (16 & 35 mm.). Parallel to the development of the festival workshops & digital filmmaking equipment presentations will take place
