Sant Carles de Peralta, a village of the municipality of
Santa
Eulària des Riu, is celebrating at the moment their patron saint
fiestas. The programme started last October 15 and will continue until
November 11, but the central events will take place this weekend, linking
with All Saints'.
On All Saints' Day, Thursday November 1, at 10 a.m. at Bar ca n'Anneta
there will be the opening of the "II Exposició d'instruments musicals
i artesania eivissenca" by Pep Xeuet, Vicent d'en Ferrer, Toni Ros and
Rufino; followed at 11 a.m. by the mass for All Saints. On the same day
there will be the pensioners' party and in the afternoon the "VII Children's
Art, Composition and Poetry Competition". The performance by Tanit Orquesta
Ibiza will end the day with dancing in the Church Square.
The programme for Friday 2 will concentrate on the celebration, at 5
pm. of the mass held at the cemetery for All Souls; and the festive activities
will then continue on Saturday November 3, at 8 p.m. with the performance
by the group from Murcia, Coros y Danzas de Blanca, and with the Festival
de Musica Dance, as from 11.30 p.m. with the collaboration by E David Moreno,
Ibiza Dance and guest DJ's.
The bell ringing and rockets will start the activities on Sunday 4th,
at 10.30 a.m. followed by the opening of the veteran car and motorbike
exhibition, the street parade, the mass and traditional procession.
At 1 p.m. there will be folk dancing by the Colla de Ball Pagès
from Sant Carles de Peralta and at 7 p.m. flamenco with the Ballet de la
Casa de Cultura Andaluza. A popular dance in the evening with Coco
Orquesta and giant firework show will end the programme for Sant Carles's
day. The fiestas will end on Sunday November 11 with clay pigeon
shooting, popular paella and the play "Nuestro show" by the group Attípico.
