"la Caixa" has programmed for this winter-spring season of the Family
Concerts, four in Palma, two in Eivissa town and two more in Maó.
The price for seats is 2 € and the recommended ages are from
4 to 12. The seats can be acquired until three hours before each concert
at the ServiCaixa and two hours before in the place of the concert.
"Tormenta sobre las cañas" in Palma and Maó
On Saturday February 2, at 12.00 h at the main office of the Fundación
"la Caixa" in Palma, and on Sunday, February 3, also at 12.00 at the Teatre
Principal in Maó, the programmed concerts will start with the group
Les Bons Becs, who will perform "Tormenta sobre las cañas", a show
with humour and music by Strauss, Piazzola, Gershwin and Mancini, amongst
others. The French group, Les Bons Becs, is comprised of Éric Baret
(clarinet), Florent Héau (clarinet), Yves Jeanne (bass clarinet),
Brunno Quétard (clarinet, bass clarinet, corno di bassetto and vocals)
and Yve Lambert (drums).
"Licencia para soplar" in Palma and Eivissa
On Saturday, February 16, at 12.00h at the main office of the Fundación
"la Caixa" de Palma, and on Sunday February 17, also at 12.00h, at the
Espai Cultural Can Ventosa in Eivissa town, the programme will be The Classic
Buskers, a British duo formed by Michael Copley (wood wind instruments)
and Ian Moore (accordion), who will perform "Licence to blow".
"Papageno & Cia." in Palma and Maó
On Saturday, March 2, at 12.00 h, in the main office of the Fundación
"la Caixa" in Palma, and on Sunday March 3, also at 12.00 h at the Teatre
Principal in Maó, the programme will continue with L'Harmonia de
Cambra, a group formed by a wind octet and a double base, who will perform,
together with the soprano, Carme Cusidó and the baritone, Josep
Ferrer, "Papageno & Cia.", a concert where Papageno, a bird catcher
in love from the Magic Flute will guide the public through some of the
most well known operas by Mozart.
"Gamako, el país del ritmo" in Palma and Eivissa
On Saturday, March 16, at 12.00h at the main office of the Fundación
"la Caixa" in Palma, and on Sunday, March 17, also at 12.00h at the Espai
Cultural Can Ventosa in Eivissa town, the programme will end with
Gamako Percussion, a group formed by Pierre Akaffou, Mamadou Coulibaly,
Boniface Dagry and Hilar Rasoanaivo, who will perform the concert "Gamako,
el país del ritmo". Situated somewhere in Africa, between Gabón,
Mali and the Ivory Coast, Gamako is an imaginary country full of daring
rhythms and dances.
