The Sa Nostra Cultural Hall in Eivissa is holding until January 18
an anthological exhibition dedicated to the illustrator, Marino Benejam
Ferrer.
Marino Benejam Ferrer
(Ciutadella, 1890 - Barcelona, 1975) lived in Barcelona from his youth,
collaborating for over fifty years with the humorous comic TBO. His
drawings and jokes gave life to such well known characters as the Ulises
Family -one of the most popular families in postwar Spain- Melitón
Pérez, Eustaquio Morcillón and Babalí, amongst others.
The original drawings that are being presented in the exhibition make
up part of the private collections of Lluís Giralt, Marcel·lí
Mora and Francesc Regàs.
To complement the exhibition, Sa Nostra has organised a cycle of conferences
about comics on the Balearic Islands. Full programme in
Catalan
and
Spanish.
