Fire nights in Dénia and in Sant Antoni

Less than three hours away from Eivissa by boat, the Alicante port of Dénia, the nearest to the Pitiüses islands, has always had a close relationship with Eivissa. And for Saint Joseph's day, one of our most traditional festivities, the "Falles" come, that are also celebrated there. On the web of the Junta Local Fallera the programme of activities can be found that are foreseen for Dénia until next Tuesday 19, when the "night of fire" will be held.

But for those who do not wish to move away from the island, there is also the opportunity to enjoy the "Falles" of Sant Antoni. For some years the Valencian residents in the largest of the Pitiüses islands, organises their own "Falles".  Next weekend, in Portmany, there will be a complete programme of events  with  "mascletaes", lunches and dinners in the municipal markee on the Passeig de ses Fonts, and on Sunday,  "nit del foc".
