The Ibizan author, Vicent Tur, presents a story of madness, love
and imagination in Barcelona
Rosa (a character interpreted by Isabel Cabòs) is in love with
George. She lives in a space that could be a psychiatric hospital
or anywhere else. Rosa shares her time with Jordi (Jaume Comas) who
says is her husband, but that she does not remember or admit. Two
"real" characters and a "virtual" one, George, a story of platonic love,
of madness and imagination that can be seen as from Wednesday at the
Teatre
Malic in Barcelona.
"George" is the new play by the writer, journalist and playwright Vicent
Tur Riera, that was presented last April 6 and 7 in
Lleida
and that should be taken afterwards to Eivissa. The Teatre Malic, a small
hall with room for 50 people, is one of the alternative theatre centres
in Barcelona, an ideal place to get to know new authors and experience
new language. In 1999 Tur won a Prize from the
UIB
for young writers in Catalan, in the theatrical section, with the text
"La Llum" as can be seen in
this
news item of El Mundo filed in the press section of the Balearic
University.
