The Museu d'Art Contemporani d'Eivissa (MACE) is holding until May
29 an exhibition by the Croatian artist, Edo Murtic.
Organised by the Fundació Balears 21 with the collaboration of
the Eivissa Town Council and the Government of the Croatian Republic, the
exhibition is part of the cycle "La primavera croata de les Illes
Balears" and comprises a selection of the works by
Edo
Murtic (Velika Pisanica, Croatia, 1921) carried out in the last two
years, and also a small retrospective of works from previous stages.
Considered to be one of the great masters of abstract expressionism,
Edo Murtic has held over 150 individual exhibitions and has participated
in some 300 collective ones. His works are catalogued in the most important
art galleries in the world, both public and private. He is also the
author of numerous murals, mosaics and theatre scenery.
