The Historic-artistic Heritage Committee of Eivissa and Formentera
(CIPHA), an entity dependent on the Council for Youth and Culture of the
Council of Eivissa and Formentera, passed last April 22 the projects for
rehabilitation of the churches of Sant Vicente de sa Cala and Sant Llorenç,
both belonging to the
Eivissan
Bishopric and situated in Sant Joan de Labritja. The proposal by the
CIPHA was approved definitely in the last plenary meeting of the insular
institution held on April 27.
In the Church of Sant Vicent, the work that has a budget of 7.642,51
€, will consist of consolidating the structure and substituting the
floor tiles in the choir; and in the Church of Sant Llorenç with
a budget of 2.369,90 €, some of the beams in the porch that
are in a bad state will be replaced.
Meanwhile, the last Council Meeting of Eivissa and Formentera also approved
the proposal by the CIPHA to
declare
the fishermen's huts of Formentera as Property of Cultural Interest
with the category of Place of Ethnological Interest, closing the process
that was started over two years ago with the view to guarantee their protection
and conservation.
