Xarop de Canya is the music group invited to the party on Sunday
The
Institut d'Estudis Eivissencs
has chosen this year Santa Gertrudis to celebrate the 32th edition of the
"Festa de la Nit de Sant Joan". The party includes the award ceremony for
the research price "Nit de Sant Joan" and the poetry prize "Baladre". The
Catalan group
Xarop de Canya
will amuse the party on Sunday, as from 9.30 p.m., with a show that features
music, devils, dancers... During the festivity, the traditional Manifest
will be read, in which, since 1973, the IEE states its point of view about
the cultural and social reality of the Pitiüses.
More information about the "Nit de Sant Joan" can be found
on
this special section of the web of the Institute, with news about the
research projects and prize winning poems, and the poster of each year.
The Institute has been organising this party since 1973.
