Internet has a pile of information about the theories on the place of birth of the discoverer of America.

Of the discoverer of America, Christopher Columbus, almost everything is argued about. Both where he was born and where he is buried (four cities "dispute" being the place where his remains rest, and there is an investigation to find out where they really are.

Internet is a mine of information for the fans of Columbus. For example, on this German web page you can read the letter that the discoverer sent to the Catholic Monarchs informing them about the arrival to the Indies (he did not accept that he had discovered a new continent). The most accepted posture with respect to the origin of the admiral is his origin from Geneva. But Columbus has many mother countries. The investigator Paolo Emilio Taviani, who obviously supports the Italian origin, collects many of the places where it has been said that Columbus was born there, including Greece. People also talk about a possible Gallician origin of the navigator. And as for being Jewish, which would explain why Columbus kept his origin secret. From Canada, Elierzer Segal defends this option.
