Sa Bodega, first Ibizan folk dance group on Internet

The Colla de sa Bodega has had its web working for a few days. It is the first Ibizan folk dance group to have its own page on Internet. On Formentera, the Xacoters have already had their own page for some time.

La Colla de sa Bodega (a pioneer school on Eivissa for teaching in Catalan on the island) was founded in 1987. As well as the folk dancing, they also organise different courses and have participated in numerous festivals.

In fact, this week end, the group is participating in Heeze (A Dutch town near Amsterdam) in an International Folklore Festival that a Netherlands group, Maroejska Heeze is organising. The festival is usually seen by 40,000 people. Together with them, other groups will perform from Moldavia, Norwegia and Hungary. It is the group's second international trip, and they will also make tourist promotion of the island in Holland.
