Until Saturday, the exhibition of the new work by José Gutiérrez
can be visited in the exhibition hall of the
Santa
Eulària Town Hall. Over 40 oil paintings with a figurative style
where landscapes, Ibizan folklore and still life can be seen.
Gutiérrez, born in La Puebla de Cazalla (Sevilla) but resident
on the island for 22 years, paints as a hobby -he works in hostelry- since
he was ten. His first individual exhibition was in Morón de la Frontera
in 1971 and this is the third time that he has exhibited in Santa Eulària.
Although the artist regrets that few people have visited the show, he
is pleased with the sales as he has sold a dozen paintings.
