The Plataforma per la Pau d'Eivissa i Formentera has called a demonstration
against the war in Iraq that will held on Saturday, February 15, at 7 p.m.
in el Paseo de s'Alamera (Vara de Rey). The demonstration will go along
the centre of Vila to end with the reading of the unitary declaration against
the war. Previously, at 5.30 p.m. pigeons will be released to symbolize
peace.
Meanwhile, the
Consell d'Eivissa i Formentera
aproved in the plenary session of February 3, an institutiona declaration
against the war in Iraq, in which they requestesd the Spanish Government
not to use the Balearic ports and airports if the war starts.
