Next Thursday, September 18, on the Pitiüses islands the Day of
the Tourist will be held with a wide programme of events that will take
place in different parts of Eivissa and Formentera. Thanks to an agreement
between the Conselleria de Turisme of thel Consell and the Pitiüses
town councils, as from now the Day of the Tourist will have a fixed date
and will be held every third Thursday in September every year.
The Day of the Tourist will include the giving of diplomas for fidelity
in a tribute to the tourists who have visited the island for over 20 years,
and also a whole series of activities and demonstrations of folk dancing,
typical product tasting and guided tours.
The events will continue until Saturday 20, and will take place in Eivissa
town, Sant Antoni de Portmany, Platja d'en Bossa, Figueretes, Port de Sant
Miquel, Es Canar, Cala Llonga, Santa Eulària des Riu, Cala Tarida,
Cala de Bou, Portinatx, Santa Josep de sa Talaia and Cala Sant Vicent;
and in the Savina, Sant Ferran de ses Roques and Es Pujols on Formentera.
