Next November, the first
Máster
internacional en software libre will start at the Open University of
Catalunya (
UOC), that can be carried out
in four specialities: administrator of networks and operative systems,
web administrator and for electronic commercial systems, expert in the
development of applications, and direction of computer systems surrounding
free software.
This first university qualification in open source systems to be given
in Spain will have the support of a consultant scientific committee presided
by Professor
Manuel
Castells and made up by, amongst others,

Himanen (University of California in Berkeley),
Vinton
Cerf (WorldCom),
Marcelo
D'elia Branco (Software livre, Brasil),
