Agreement to convert the Castle of Eivissa in a hotel

It will be the first "Parador" hotel in the Balearic Islands.

The Mayor of Eivissa, Xico Tarrés, and the President of the Insular Council, Pere Palau, have reached an agreement to convert the Castle of Eivissa into a hotel of Paradores de Turismo de España, a state company that manages the hotels situated in historic buildings that belong to the State. If this company finally decides to take care of the building, Dalt Vila, the upper town of Eivissa, will have the first "Parador" hotel in the Balearic Islands.

Tarrés and Palau expressed their agreement on Tuesday, in a meeting of the Consorci Patrimoni de la Humanitat, organisation committed to the recovery of the historic buildings of Dalt Vila.
