European Car Free Day: In town without my car

On Saturday was held the European Car Free Day "In town without my car" with a view to giving the public the opportunity to practice other forms of mobility alternative to the private car and to offer them the possibility of rediscovering the city, its inhabitants and its heritage.

The Palma Town Council adhered to this European initiative this year and the central streets of old Palma were closed to traffic.

An informative point was set up in the Paseo del Born by the Department of Environment and Environmental Education of the Balearic Government.

The GOB also joined in on the Day without cars and asked the public to collaborate by going on foot, by bike or using public transport.
