Appeal of Unconstitutionality against the law for Insular Councils

The Cabinet Meeting, held in Madrid on Friday, November 17, 2000, agreed to ask the President of the Government to appeal against several articles of the Law for Insular Councils of the Balearics due to the unconstitutionality, so that there will be a suspension of Law in question.

The articles questioned refer to the existence in the Insular Councils, of a new organ called Executive Committee with members freely assigned by the President of the Insular Council.
