The Balearics need needs a centre for heart transplants

The high incidence of cardiac illness in the Balearics, justifies the creation on the islands of an official centre to carry out heart transplants. This is a conclusion stated recently by Dr. Oriol Bonnín, cardiac surgeon at the Balearic Cardiac Surgery Service at the Policlínica Miramar in Palma and one of the members of the team that carried out the first heart transplant in Spain.
