Christmas concerts by the group Eivicord

The Council for Culture of the Insular Council has organised, with the collaboration of Pro-Arte and the support from different Town Councils and Parishes of Eivissa, a series of Christmas concerts by the chamber music group Eivicord, directed by the founder, Georges Verwilt, and the participation of young Ibizan musicians.

The series started last December 9 in the Church of Sant Josep de Sa Talaia and this weekend there will be the three remaining concerts: Friday 14 at 8.30 p.m. in the Church of Sant Rafel de Sa Creu; Saturday 15 at 9 p.m. in the church of the Mare de Déu del Roser de Eivissa; and, finally, on Sunday 16 at 7 p.m. in the Church of Sant Joan de Labritja.

The musical programmes chosen by Eivicord has two parts: the first includes works by Purcell, Haydin and Vivaldi; and the second, works with a Christmas theme.
