>Next Saturday, December 15, the popular wine fiesta will be held in
Sant Mateu, that this year is celebrating the eleventh anniversary.
The objective of the fiesta is to promote the wines produced in Sant Mateu
and to consolidate the wine tradition of the place.
According to Joan Bonet –president of the Neighbours' Association that
is organising the event and one of the most important producers of wine
in the area– the event is well known in the Pitiüses and year after
year attracts hundreds of people from all over Ibiza and even from Formentera.
The fiesta will be held once again at the Sports Centre in Sant Mateu
and will start at 6 p.m. with live music, wine and barbecue for everyone.
The wine will be free but bread and sobrassada sausage made specially for
the occasion will be sold.
