Eivissa is promoted in the Salón del Turismo de Barcelona

What is being promoted in Barcelona is Eivissa as World Heritage by Unesco, but what has had most success --by a long way-- are the free samples of Pitiusas gastronomic specialities.

For the third year running, the Eivissa town council is participating in the Saló Internacional del Turisme a Catalunya, with a separate stand from the one by the Entitat de Turisme de les Illes Balears (the old Ibatur).

This year, part of the promotion has centred on the Medieval Fiesta that will take place this coming May 10, 11 and 12 in Dalt Vila. This fair celebrates every year the declaration as Heritage of Humanity and offers street shows, theatre, music and conferences.

The Eivissa Council has also agreed with the Diputació de Tarragona to an exchange of promotion events, that will be centred on a presentation of Eivissa in the province and a visit from Tarragona to present the values of the Costa Daurada next autumn.
