May Fiestas in Santa Eulària
On Wednesday, May 1, there will be tennis and cycling, on Friday 3 at 5 p.m. the traditional picnic 'romería a la Creu d'en Ribes', and in the evening the children's fiesta with different DJs.
On Saturday 4, amongst other cultural and sports activities, at 6.30 p.m. there will be the opening of the Car and Agricultural Machinery Fair, the Antique Car Exhibition, the photograph and sculpture exhibition by Juan Guasch and Toni Tur at the Club Nautic, the flowers and plants exhibition at the Hotel La Cala, which will all stay open until 8 p.m. Sunday May 5. The Exhibition "20 anys del grup Es Broll", will also be opened and can be visited until May 8 in the Exhibition Hall in calle Sant Jaume. The events of the day will end in the Town Hall Square with the dance by the groups Portitxol de Xàbia and Horris Kamoi.
On Sunday 5, there will be street parades through the centre as from 9 p.m., the Trial de Santa Eulària as from 10 a.m. The programme will continue with the mass on the Puig de Missa, followed by folk dancing. In the morning there will be a parade of antique carts, cars and motorbikes and folk dancing in the Town Hall square. The day will end with a dance as from 9.30 p.m. and a firework display that will start at 12.30 a.m.
On Saturday 11, throughout the day there will be numerous activities, mainly sports competitions, such as the cruiser regatta, and also at 9 p.m. the concert by Stock de Rock and Pota Lait in the square.
The programme of the "Festes de Maig" this year will last until the beginning of June. Amongst many other events we point out the concert by the Trio Mediterrani, that will take place on Sunday, May 12 at 6.30 on the Puig de Missa; the opening on Tuesday May 21 of the exhibition "II Concurs de Fotografia de Santa Eulària", that can be visited until May 26 in the Exhibition Hall; the concert by the Parish Choir of Santa Eulària, that will take place on Sunday May 26 at 11.30 a.m. on Puig de Missa; and the performance, the same day at 9 p.m. of the play "El tonto es un sabio" by the Municipal Theatrical Group Romaní.
