As from this week, the second edition of "Els carrers de Dalt Vila.
El triple recinte de l'Eivissa ārab" by the architect, Luis Cervera
Miralles, can be acquired in the Eivissa book shops. Published for the
first time in 1981, this book is a compendium of excellent drawings of
the streets in the Ciutat Alta, accompanied by brief descriptions that
sometimes refer to the history of streets or quotations from famous authors,
such as Baltasar Porcel. On some occasions, the pictures are accompanied
by photos. A small jewel for the Ibizencan who wishes to know in more depth
about the history of the island, or for the tourist keen to find out more
about one of the places declared World Heritage by Unesco.
The book, by
Editorial
Mediterrānia, will be presented on Thursday April 11, at the
Museu d'Art Contemporani d'Eivissa by the architect and ex mayor of Eivissa,
Joan Prats. The ceremony will start at 8 p.m. This work will also be presented
in Barcelona next April 30 at 8 p.m. at the
Espai
Mallorca.
