In view of the success of the guided tours of the historical centre
of the city of Eivissa, that took place from January to May 2002, the Councillor
for Tourism of the Eivissa Town Council has decided to repeat the organisation
of this free activity from September 2002 until May 2003.
The visits start at the Tourist Information office in Vara de Rey on
Saturday and Sunday and have a professional tourist guide throughout the
programmed tour round the streets of the historical centre
Dalt Vila and
the districts of la Marina and sa Penya.
The fortified area of Dalt Vila, together with the
necrópolis
del Puig des Molins, the
Phoenician
town sa Caleta and the
fields
of posidonia of the Natural Park of ses Salines situated
in the south of Eivisa and north of Formentera, was declared in 1999 World
Heritage by Unesco.
Tour times:
- At 6 pm. from September to October
- At 11 a.m. from November to April
- At 6 p.m. in May
