On December 5, 6, 7 and 8, there will be at the Poble Espanyol in Palma
the third edition of the
Balearikus
Party, a meeting for amateurs of computers, Internet, the world of
Linux and net games, organised by the association Balearikus Party sponsored
by the
Consell de Mallorca
and
Sa Nostra, and the collaboration
of different firms such as
Ono and
Cisco
Systems and organisations such as
Bulma
and the
Departament of Mathematics and Computers
of the UIB.
In the
first
edition, held in May 2000 at the UIB, 70 computers were connected to
the Net and in the
second
edition, held in December 2001 at the Pueblo Espaņol, there
was a room with the capacity for 400 computers. The organisers foresee
for this edition room for 420 participants with computers.
During the meeting there will be conferences and workshops with free
entrance as part of the "Free Software Days" organised together with the
associations Balearikus Partry and Bulma.
