Rural Fair

The president of the Insular Council of Eivisa and Formentera, Pilar Costa, and the Councillor for Agriculture of the same institution, Vicent Tur, have presented the first edition of the "Fira del Camp" that will be held in the exhibition hall of Fires i Congressos in Eivissa, on February 23 and 24.

The objective of the fair is to promote the farming products from the Pitiüses Islands, and the related services and new technologies. The exhibition area will have some twenty two stands and 600 square metres dedicated to the exhibition of animals.

The fair was first programmed in 2000 but it was cancelled due to the illness known as the "blue tongue". The fair was programmed again in November 2001 and then was also cancelled because of the wind and rain storm that caused damage on the exhibition hall in Eivissa.
