SOS Eivissa: Save the Mediterranean

Anti-Motorway Festival on June 16th and 17th.

On June 16th and 17th, as from 8 p.m., on a site next to the multi-cines centre, the Festival "SOS Eivissa: Save the Mediterranean" will be held. This is a musical and artistic event to protest against the motorways to the Airport and Sant Antoni that the Balearic Government is developing with the support of the Insular Council. The musicians that have already confirmed their participation are Abús, Beth, Chambao, Cris Juanico, Gerard Quintana, Statuas de Sal, Rock 'n' Press, UC, la Terremoto de Alcorcón, Marina Rosell, Mártires del Compás, Pastora, Ojos de Brujo, Trihada and Vagabundos de Lujo. The macro festival will also feature appearances by popular personages such as Andreu Buenafuente and journalist Concha García Campoy.

The organisers are Amics de la Terra, Associació Cultural Sargantana, Associació Cultural Vuit d'Agost, Associació d'Amics de Figueretes, Corazón Verde, GEN-GOB, Institut d'Estudis Eivissencs, Ràdio UC and Plataforma No Volem Autopistes.
