First Environmental Week in Eivissa
On Saturday, September 22, more than 900 European municipalities will participate in the "In town, without my car!" day, with a view to giving the public the opportunity to practice other forms of mobility alternative to the private car and to offer them the
possibility of rediscovering the city, its inhabitants and its heritage.

Eivissa has been the first city of Spain that has joined the campaign this year, programming a day without cars which is included in the First Environmental Week that is being held these days in the City.

The First Environmental Week, organised within the framework of the Local Agenda 21 promoted by the Eivissa City Council, includes a wide range of informative, sports and technical activities that intend to commit al the public to the environmental protection and improvement process that the Ibizan capital follows. The events started last Monday and will continue until Saturday, the most complete day of the programme.

On Saturday, the Day without cars, there will be an ecological agriculture market and environmental workshops installed on the Vara de Rey square; exhibitions, games and sports at different points of the City, and environmental circuits that will start at the same Vara del Rey square. On the Passeig Joan Carles I  there will be activities for disabled and at the Es Parc square, a circuit for children with bicycle.
