Next Tuesday, November 19, at the property Ca'n Sorā there will
be the first trip for environment education to the natural park Cala d'Hort,
cap Llentrisca and sa Talaia with groups of school children from primary
education. If any school or institute wishes to arrange a trip during
the 2002/03 school year, they should contact the team of environment educators
on tel. 971 301 420. Via the same number a visit can be arranged
for visits on Saturdays by other groups of people interested in seeing
the park.
Last February 15 the Balearic Government declared the "Parc Natural
de cala d'Hort, cap Llentrisca i sa Talaia, i les Reserves Naturals des
Vedrā i es Vedranell i dels Illots de Ponent", in the municipality
of Sant Josep de sa Talaia. The area of the natural park is 2,773.31
hectares, of which 2,208.81 are on land and 564.50 are marine. This
area includes 79.39 hectares of the natural reserve Es Vedrá and
Es Vedranell, and 154.94 hectares of the Islotes de Ponent.
