16 firms from Mallorca and Eivissa will participate in the third edition
of the
Salón Internacional
del Vino, that will be held from January 30 to February 2 at the IFEMA
exhibition hall in Madrid.
The stand where the wines will be exhibited has 320 m2, and it is supported
by the
Department
of Economy, Commerce and Industry of the Balearic Government. The Government
has also organised several wine tasting events to promote the Balearic
wines that are present in the fair.
The Fair groups wine producer from all Spain, some outstanding international
producers, and the related institutions. According to the organisers of
the fair, the last edition generated sales over 30 milion euros.
Fourteen wine producers from Mallorca will participate in the fair.
In the group of "
Binissalem"
origin wines:
José L. Ferrer
(Binissalem),
Celler Jaume de Puntiró (Santa Maria del Camí),
Vins
Nadal (Binissalem), Hereus de Ribas (Consell) and
Bodegues
Macià Batle (Santa Maria del Camí). In the group of "Pla
i Llevant" origin wines: Jaume Mesquida (Porreres), Armero i Adrover (Felanitx),
Miquel Gelabert (Manacor), Pere Seda (Manacor),
Can
Majoral (Algaida),
Vinyes i
Bodegues Miquel Oliver (Petra) and Vins Toni Gelabert (Manacor). The
wines
Son Bordils (Inca) and Vinyes
i vins ca Sa Padrina (Palma), that do not belong to any origin denomination,
will also be present.
As for Eivissa, two wine producers will participate in the fair, with
the origin denomination "Vins de les terres d'Eivissa": Sa Cova (Sant Antoni
de Portmany) and Can Rich de Buscastell (Sant Antoni de Portmany).
Coinciding with the fair, the web portal
Enovins.
Vins de les Illes Balears, has been presented. The internet project,
offering online shopping and information on most of the wines of the Balearic
Islands, is developed by the young entrepreneur Eduardo Sánchez
Monje, manager of the firm Balear Enológica, SL from Palma.
